Gloria Henneman-6th-8th Bible, History & GEography

Hello! I am Gloria Henneman and am so honored to join this amazing program in 6th-8th grades. I am new to Arrows this year but not new to teaching. I was born and raised in Oregon and began teaching in public school in Medford many years ago. I took a few years off and had three wonderful sons, David, Mike, and Eric. As they grew, it became clear that Christian school was where God wanted them. Before the boys were in school, we attended and enjoyed five years of Bible Study Fellowship where we all developed a deeper love for Jesus and the Bible. I was delighted to teach at Grace Christian School for 20 years where all three sons attended until high school. All my experience has been in grades 4th, 5th, and middle school with an emphasis on Bible and history. My later years have been spent teaching in an online charter school. I believe parents are the best educators for their children and I love supporting parents in that very important role. As a teacher I love seeing the “light in the eyes” as students suddenly understand an idea or new concept. I am even more excited that you, as a parent, get to see that “light” come on too!! My passion is Christ and sharing Him with others, especially students, is a great privilege. I attend Mountain Church and enjoy spending time with my large, closely knit extended family. I have 5 grandchildren and one will attend Arrows in pre-K this year. Bible Study, family time, reading, traveling with friends and family are some of my favorite things. I am looking forward to partnering with you and your student in learning, seeing the lights come on and growing closer to Jesus.

Lynnae McCoy-6th-8th Science and Lang. Arts

Hello! My name is Lynnae McCoy. This is my second year teaching with Arrows Academy, and I am so excited to be teaching sixth through eighth grades. Before teaching at Arrows, I taught English to students in China for five years. I also had the privilege of homeschooling my own children during different periods of time as they were growing up. This year my youngest daughter will be joining me at Arrows, so I will be an Arrows mom as well as an Arrows teacher. I’ve been married to my husband, Jim, for 27 years. We met and married at First Baptist Church, Ashland, and have lived in the Rogue Valley for most of our married life. We have three children ranging in age from 12 to 24. Our daughter, Hannah, works locally. Our son, Jonny, graduated from Cascade Christian and is attending RCC. Last, but certainly not least, our daughter, Grace, will be a 7th grader at Arrows. Our family is active at Community Bible Church, where my husband, oldest daughter, and I serve in worship ministry. In my free time, I like to read, write, and watch my son’s soccer games. I look forward to getting to know your students and working alongside you to prepare them for high school. Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you and your children.

Amy Wilson-5th Grade

Hello!  My name is Amy Wilson.  I’m so happy to be a part of Arrows Academy, partnering with you in teaching your 5th graders! This age is near and dear to my heart, as I have my own 5th grader at home!  In addition, I have 2 high schoolers and 2 graduates, who plan to start college in the fall.  We started homeschooling our 5 kids when my oldest was in 1st grade, and I’ve loved and treasured the time I’ve been given to pour into our children as I teach them at home.   I was homeschooled myself, from kindergarten through high school, and after attending Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach, Oregon, served for many years in my church's children's and worship ministries. My husband and I have been married for 20 years and moved to the Rogue Valley from Southern California in 2018.  During our years in SoCal, we were involved in some wonderful Homeschooling communities, including Classical Conversations, where I enjoyed tutoring for 3 years.  Since moving here, I’ve had the joy of helping in the Arrows Co-op Pre-K class, and 2-3rd grade Drama class in 2019/20, teaching Academy 4/5th in 2021 and teaching the 5th grade Academy class this year!

Nichole Baird-4th Grade

Hi! My name is Nichole Baird and I feel so blessed to partner with you in homeschooling your 4th grader! My husband, Adam, and I have been married for 17 years and relocated our family from Lake Havasu City, Arizona to the Rogue Valley at the end of 2015. We have three boys – Micah-15, Seth-13, and Eli-10. I have homeschooled them all from the beginning in 2012, when Micah skipped over kindergarten to begin 1st grade. I was homeschooled myself from 7th grade through high school and then graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, CA. Growing up, I have always been very involved in church – starting as a teenager serving in the children’s ministry, cleaning ministry, sound ministry, etc. I was our church secretary for about 12 years before we moved to Oregon. We love our church home at Heritage Christian Fellowship, where I currently serve in the children’s ministry. We became involved with Arrows Co-op shortly after moving here and I taught the co-op Pre-K class during the five years we were involved.  This will be my fourth year teaching at Arrows Academy.  I previously taught the PreK class and the 3rd grade class before moving to 4th grade. I am thrilled to be returning to 4th grade this year and partnering with you in raising bright, kind, and loving children.
