Bethanie Reymer-6th & 7th Grades

Hi everyone! My name is Bethanie Reymer and I will be teaching  sixth and seventh grade this coming school year. Teaching is a passion and joy of mine. From a little girl eagerly asking my own teachers for leftover papers and school supplies so I could play school at home, I always knew I wanted to teach. I graduated from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA with a bachelors degree in English and elementary education. My training and work experience includes everything from kindergarten to sixth grade. After having my own daughter in my kindergarten class, I felt God leading me in the direction of homeschooling. I am now going into my into my eleventh year of homeschooling her and ninth year with my son. This is my second year teaching at Arrows Academy and partnering with some wonderful parents in the continued education of their children. I have really enjoyed sharing in God's blessing on this wonderful program at Arrows and getting to know so many of you. I look forward to a new school year with you all!

amy wilson-4th & 5th Grades

Hello!  My name is Amy Wilson.  I’m so happy to be a part of Arrows Academy, helping to teach your 4th and 5th graders! This age is near and dear to my heart, as I have my own 4th grader at home!  In addition, I have an 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th grader,  1 boy, and 4 girls, and have been blessed to homeschool them all from Kindergarten-8th grade.  I was homeschooled myself, from kindergarten through high school and after attending Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach, Oregon, served at my church helping in the children's and worship ministries. My husband and I have been married for almost 20 years, and moved to the Rogue Valley from Southern California in 2018.  During our years in SoCal, we were involved in some wonderful homeschooling communities, including Classical Conversations, where I tutored for 3 years.  Since moving here, I’ve had the joy of helping in the Pre-K class, and 2-3rd grade Drama class at Arrows' Co-op during the ‘19-’20 school year.  I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for us this year as we seek to raise our kids in the knowledge and love of Jesus!

Nichole Baird-4th Grade

Hi! My name is Nichole Baird and I feel so blessed to partner with you in homeschooling your 4th grader! My husband, Adam, and I have been married for 16 years and relocated our family from Lake Havasu City, Arizona to the Rogue Valley at the end of 2016. We have three boys – Micah-13, Seth-11, and Eli-8. I have homeschooled them all from the beginning in 2012, when Micah skipped over Kindergarten to begin 1st grade. I was homeschooled myself from 7th grade through high school and then graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murietta, CA. Growing up, I have always been very involved in church – starting as a teenager serving in the children’s ministry, cleaning ministry, sound ministry, etc. I was our church secretary for about 12 year before we moved to Oregon. We love our church home at Heritage Christian Fellowship, where we currently serve in the children’s ministry. We became involved with Arrows Co-op shortly after moving here and I have taught the co-op Pre-K class for the past three years, as well as the Academy PreK class '19-'20, and the 3rd grade class '20-'21.. I am thrilled to be working with 4th grade this year and partnering with you in raising bright, kind, and loving children.

edyth narlock-3rd grade

I’m Edyth Narlock and I’m excited to join you and your family on your homeschool journey. This is my second year at Arrows, last year teaching 2nd grade, and because I loved the students so much, we’re heading into 3rd grade together! My husband, Shawn, and I are originally from Minnesota where we were college sweethearts. We have lived in the Rogue Valley for almost 30 years and have raised our four children here, 3 of whom have “left the nest.” My greatest privilege has been to home educate our kids and have navigated 15 years of homeschool, plus public, charter and dual-credit (college in HS) schools. For enjoyment I love to attend my Friday morning Bible Study, watch BBC mysteries and I am avid reader.  God has given me a heart to encourage homeschooling families and I look forward to our time together this year!

Ashley Coleman-2nd grade

Hey there! I’m Ashely Coleman, I’m new to the Arrows Community but so excited to now be a part of it as the second grade teacher. I have an 8 year old son, Leviticus, (Levi for short), who I have been very blessed to be able to homeschool right from the start, and super thankful to get to continue that as well as link arms with all of you. We have done Classical Conversations for the last four years, I was a CC Tutor for three of those years, and I have so enjoyed learning alongside Levi. I believe, like Charlotte Mason said, that “education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life”, and like to call it ‘lifestyle schooling’ because it isn’t just about education by way of academics, it’s about habits, and heart issues, building character, and instilling a love for learning that will follow our kids all through life. I have attended Applegate Christian Fellowship for the last fourteen years where I also serve in the kids ministry. I am very passionate about Jesus and His Word. I love to read. Levi and I enjoy spending time at church, and with family and friends. We are Oregon natives and we love to be outdoors whether it be camping, floating the river, hanging at the lake, at a park or the occasional hike. I’m looking forward to partnering alongside you this year in “raising kids in the way they should go”!

Lynnae Mccoy-1st grade

Hello! My name is Lynnae McCoy. This is my first year teaching with Arrows Academy, and I am so excited to be teaching first grade. Even though I am new to Arrows, I am not new to teaching. For the last four years I have been teaching English to students in China. I also had the privilege of homeschooling my own children during different periods of time as they were growing up. I’ve been married to my husband, Jim, for 26 years. We met and married at First Baptist Church, Ashland and have lived in the Rogue Valley for most of our married life. We have three children ranging in age from 11 to 23. Our daughter, Hannah, works locally. Our son, Jonny, just graduated from Cascade Christian and will be attending RCC this year. Last, but certainly not least, our daughter, Grace, will be a 6th grader at Cascade Christian. Our family is active at Community Bible Church, where my husband, oldest daughter, and I serve in worship ministry. In my free time I like to read, write, and watch my son’s soccer games. I look forward to embarking on a journey around the world this year with your children as we study God’s work in different countries and cultures. Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you and your children.

Julie DeLack-1st grade

Hi friends! I'm Julie DeLack, I am a wife to Jeremy for 11 years and a mom to three great kiddos. We live up in the mountains of Prospect and enjoy all the rural life has to offer. We spend much of our free time as a family hiking, fishing and exploring God's amazing creation around us. I grew up in the valley and though I was born a Californian I consider myself an Oregon girl through and through. Our family currently attends Rogue Valley Fellowship and I am also actively involved with a small group of women whose aim is for true biblical discipleship. I have had the privilege to serve in many different capacities in children’s ministries. Over the years I have taught Pre-K and Kindergarten Sunday School classes as well as helped with an afterschool program for the local kids to learn the good news of Jesus. I helped organize and start a children’s ministry for a small congregation in the area as well as helped kick start their VBS program. Our family's homeschool journey began perhaps a little later than most but God's timing is always perfect and we are growing and learning to trust in it day by day. I am very much looking forward to walking alongside and encouraging our first-grade families this year through all that the Lord has for us!

I have also taught science and social studies in past co-op homeschool groups . We homeschooled our girls from the 2nd to the 6th grade until they attended Grace Cascade schools and graduated from there 2 years ago. Amanda Spears-Prek & Aftercare

Hello families! I have been an Oregonian for 11 years, married to my husband for 9 years and am a blessed momma of two. We have a 3 acre mini farm in Central Point that is home to too many chickens, 4 ducks, 2 cats, 1 very large sweet dog, and a very spoiled bunny. I love glamping, reading, coffee, cooking, gardening, and tacos. I have my Bachelors degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. From being a lifeguard, swim instructor, nanny, Student Ambassador for at risk youth and first generation college students, Sunday school teacher, Awanas Puggles director for a short season, homeschooler and now the Pre-K and Aftercare teacher for Arrows, I have always been blessed to work with children in some capacity.  Before discovering Arrows, our children attended Grace Christian while I worked weekends. I realized that I was missing valuable time with them and started homeschooling while I still worked Friday-Sunday. I could not have done that without God and the amazing support of Arrows. I am very excited that He planned for me to be part of this wonderful group of teachers and homeschooling families. As Jeremiah 29:11 states, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. plans to give you hope and a future." To be the Aftercare teacher for Arrows last year was a blessing and I am thrilled to be back this year to serve Arrows families as the Pre-k and Aftercare teacher. May God bless you on this journey.

I hold a B.A. in Music from Simpson University and an M.A. in Media and Worship Arts from Dallas Theological Seminary. I have been teaching in the classroom and private lessons for over 10 years and I look forward to getting to know your child over this coming school year!

cAROLYN sTONE-pE tEACHER

Hello! My name is Carolyn Stone, and I am a certified Health and Physical Education teacher. My background includes teaching at both the elementary and high school levels. A few years ago, I stepped away from teaching so that I could raise my son, knowing that God would open the next door for me when the time was right. Thankfully, that door led to Arrows Academy. I feel very lucky to teach in a place where I can instill God’s love throughout my lessons. My husband and I have lived in the Rogue Valley for eleven years. We moved here from Spokane, WA. We enjoy getting outside with our son and our dogs. This valley has so much to offer for hikes and water to play in. Our church home is at Mountain Church in Medford where I serve in the children's ministry. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, gathering around food, documentaries, time with family, and any excuse for a good laugh. My passion is to nurture in your children a love and passion for movement and healthy living. Exercise has the power to unlock so much for our youth, from increased confidence, to teambuilding skills, maintaining emotional health, and a foundation of physical health that a vibrant life can be built upon. I want to model and direct the next generation to the heart of our redeeming God. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve your children.

Becky Sanislo-Aide & Office Admin

My name is Becky Sanislo. I am joining the team here at Arrows CHC to primarily be an administrative assistant to Becky Abrams. I have had many years of experience in bookkeeping and other administrative duties during the 26 years of helping my husband run his own business in Southern California. We moved to Southern Oregon almost 6 years ago to live near our daughter and her family and have a slower pace of life. I am married with 2 daughters and 6 grandkids. We enjoy camping, boating, bike riding and hiking.

Sarah Shelman-Program aide

Hi, I’m Sarah Shelman. I grew up in southern Oregon and have three children, ages 9, 11, and 14. We have 1 horse, 3 dogs, 2 goats, 2 bunnies and 1 cat. We have been blessed to have our third year at Arrows and it’s been such a wonderful experience! History is my favorite subject and I love how well it is done here! We attend church at Redrock Cowboy church. I enjoy music, movies, reading, cooking and eating healthy food, karaoke, traveling, paddle boarding, hiking, camping and bicycling with the kids around our neighborhood. I dream of visiting Greece and Italy, learning the piano and being a fantastic cook. I am honored to be a mom during times where we are needed in such new ways! To be in a community where we can strengthen and lift each other as parents and help our children grow and blossom in truth and knowledge is such a huge blessing. I’m looking forward to being a part of it.

Hilary Cooper-Program Aide

Hi! I am Hilary Cooper. I was born in a small mountain community in Siskiyou County, CA. My family moved to the Griffin Creek area of the Rogue Valley when I was seven and I was blessed to be raised on a beautiful farm; riding horses, climbing cherry trees, feeding cows, and reading in the tall grass of the hay fields. I met my husband, Chris, in 2002 and we are about to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary! We have a small rural property outside Central Point where we enjoy our chickens, our four dogs, and the incredible views of the valley. Our family attends Journey Church, and our two children are very active in the youth group there. Ethan is a freshmen at Crater, and Heidi is a sixth grader here at Arrows. I have accumulated quite the variety of work experience in my adult life! From bookkeeping, to managing an auto parts delivery service, to assisting a homebirth midwife, and most recently, several years working in the local public school district. I am honored to be included in the education and spiritual growth of the children of Arrows Homeschool Academy.

becky Abrams-Director

Hello! I am blessed to be beginning my 7th year with Arrows this fall (2021)! I am nothing special...just a mom and wife who likes excel spreadsheets and tacos. Stephan and I have been married since 2008 and I have 5 kiddos ranging from ages 5 to 19! We currently attend Edgewater Christian Fellowship in Grants Pass and spend our family time together bowling, trying hole-in-the-wall restaurants, and playing Wii sports and Mario Kart. :) The Lord has been gracious in taking my hodge-podge of experience and using it for His glory. I grew up a pastor's kid learning to do all things church and event related at an early age. In high school, I worked at a local preschool and spent summers on staff at JH Ranch in Etna working with horses, cleaning, and kitchen crew. After high school, I became a mom and did in home daycare for a while and eventually took a job at a local church as the Early Childhood Coordinator. I also directed events including VBS and taught Saturday night kids church. A few years later, I took a job at Grace Christian School as an aide and substitute lunch lady but after our 4th child joined us, I ventured into the homeschool world. Quickly realizing our need for connection, I started a field trip group that ended up becoming Arrows the next year (2015). I served as the Co-op Director for four years and the last two years as the Academy Director. I love seeing what the Lord has for us each year and can only image what He has in store for us this year!
